Kappa Irachi(Tapioca with Beef)

Kappa in combination with fish, beef or chicken is any malayalee's all time favourite.Kappa irachi is my all time fav.I have used boneless beef, but you can use beef on bone and it surely tastes good.


Ingredients:
Beef-500 gms,cut into cubes
Tapioca-750 gms-cut into small pieces
onions-2 medium-finely chopped
ginger-1/2inch-finely chopped
garlic-4 to 5 cloves-chopped
curry leaves-2 sprig
red chilli-2
shallots-5 chopped
coriander leaves-2 sprigs-chopped
coconut oil-2tbsp
mustard seeds-1tsp
red chilli powder-1tbsp
coriander powder-11/2tbsp
garam masala-2tsp
pepper powder-1/2tbsp
turmeric-1+1tsp
salt as per taste.

Marinate the beef with chilli powder,coriander powder,garam masala,turmeric, salt and  pepper.Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes


Now add the sliced onion, ginger garlic and curry leaves to the beef and mix well.


Pressurecook the beef mix for 15 minutes or 4 whistles.Switch off the faleme and let the cooker cool down.
Cook the tapioca with water turmeric and salt till done.Strain it and mash it well.



Now open the cooker.The gravy must not be very watery.The gravy must be enough to soak the tapioca.
Mix the tapioca with the beef curry.
Heat oil in a pan.Splutter mustard seeds.Add the shallots and curry leaves to it.Pour this to the beef tapioca mix.You may add some chopped coriander leaves to this if u wish.



Serve hot!!!!!!!!!!!
