Pav Bhaji

Pav Bhaji is a fast food dish native to Maharashtra.Pav means bread and bhaji is the vegetable dish.Here we dont get Pav so we can use BOPS which are available in the malls.


Pav or Bops-cut into 2
Vegetables- potatoes, carrot, green peas,cauliflower-boiled and mince it
onion -1 finely chopped
tomatoes-2 finely chopped
ginger garlic-minced or paste 2tsp
capsicum-1cut small
pav bhaji masala-2tbsp
lemon-1 cut into wedges
salt to taste

Heat oil in a pan.Add onions.Saute it till they are tranlucent.Add ginger-garlic.Saute it.Add the pav bhaji masala .Put the capsicum.saute it and then add the tomatoes.When the tomatoes are cooked well.Put the vegetables and a little water.Mix it well with the masala,let the bhaji be thick.Add lemon juice-1/2 tbsp and coriander.
Butter the pavs and roast it on a pan.
Serve with lemon wedges and finely sliced onions.

50 grams red chili

50 grams coriander seeds
25 grams cumin seeds
25 grams black pepper
25 grams cinnamon
25 grams clove
4-5 black cardamom
25 grams dry mango powder
10 grams fennel seeds
1 tbsp. turmeric powder
 roast and grind all these ingredients.When it cools mix in  amchoor powder and turmeric
