Fish-500 gms,I used trout
Coriander leaves-2 sprigs
Shallots-5 or onion-1/2 small,minced
Ginger-1/4 inch,finely chopped
Garlic-2 cloves,finely chopped
Curry leaves-1 sprig
tamarind(gambojee)-1 pod optional
salt as per taste
Marinate fish with turmeric,salt and pepper.Heat oil in a pan and add the fish pieces to it.Cook each side for 1 minute.
Grind together the coconut,coriander powder,green chillies,salt and coriander leaves into a paste.
Heat a pan.Add the onion,ginger,garlic and curry leaves.Saute it.Now add the tomato and tamarind.Cook for a minute.Now pour the ground coconut paste.When it begins to boil,add the fish pieces.Add water and cover the vessel.When it boils,sim the flame and let the fish cook on a medium flame.
Serve with rice or chappati!!!!!!!!
