Turkey-1/2 kg, boneless, cubed (May use chicken/ meat)
Onions-2, finely chopped
Ginger-minced, 2tbsp
Garlic-minced, 2 tbsp
Green chillies-3, finely chopped
Chana dal (Split chickpeas)-1/4 cup, soaked for 30 mins or until softened.
Red chilli powder-2tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
Garam Masala/Meat masala powder-1tbsp
Salt as per taste
Oil-2tbsp.
Boil the meat until cooked. Cool it down and in a food processor or a dry grinder mince the cubes. In a non-stick pan, heat the oil and saute the onions, ginger, garlic and green chillies until cooked and dry. Add the minced turkey and chana dal with the powdered spices and turmeric. Mix well and allow to roast on a medium flame for 30mins or until dry and crispy.
Serve with chappatis or rice.
Makes good filling for samosas or add in mashed potatoes to make the mix for cutlets.
