Banana Puttu

Ethakya-1,finely chopped
Rice flour-250 gms
Grated coconut-1/2cup
Cumin seeds-8 to 10 only(optional)
Water as required
Salt as per taste.

Take rice flour in a bowl. Add in the sugar, salt and cumin seeds(You May choose not to add this in flour but in the water inside the steamer).Mix well.Now pour the water little by little to wet the flour.

Heat the water in a puttu make.Take the funnel and a tbsp of grated coconut then a hanful of rice flour followed by 2 to 3tbsp of chopped bananas.Repeat this once more and finally add some coconut on top.Place the funnel on the steamer.Allow to steam for 5mins or more.Using the back of a wooden spoon push the puttu out.
Serve hot jlt or with poppadums.!!!!!!!!!
