Idli batter Chakli

Ingredients;
Idli batter-1cup
Gram flour/Besan-1/2cup
Plain flour-1/2cup
Asafoetida-1/4tsp
Cumin seeds-1/2tsp
Chilli powder-1/2tsp
Turmeric-1/2tsp
Salt as per taste

Mix the batter with besan,plain flour,asafoetida,cumin,chilli,turmeric and salt.Make a dough of this.Adjust the plain flour if the dough is loose.Heat the oil in a pan.Using a chakli maker or a piping bag pipe the dough into the hot oil into desired shapes.My inexperienced hands did not make good shapes but the taste was really good.

*As you are using batter the texture of the chaklis are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
