Cooked basmati rice-2 cups
Boiled potatoes-3 medium cubed
Onion-1medium finely chopped
Salt as per taste
Coriander leaves-2 sprigs,minced
Heat a deep pan.Add oil and then add the cumin seeds, onion,ginger and green chillies.Saute it well then add the spices and the potatoes.Coat it well with the masala.Now add the rice.Mix well and garnish with coriander leaves.
Carrots-3 medium chopped lengthwise thin strips
Sesame/refined oil-4 to 5 tbsp
Red chilli powder-1tbsp
Salt as per taste.
Heat the oil and splutter the mustard seeds.Add the ginger and garlic.Saute it and then sprinkle the spices into this. Add the carrots and the lemon juice or vinegar.Mix well.Always taste better after a day.But can use straight away.
