Grape Wine

This is my 200th post ...... Happy Valentine's Day to all !!!!!!!

Ingredients;
For fermentation;
Grape-1kg,preferably black
Water-2litres,boiled and cooled
Sugar-1kg
Whole wheat-1tbsp
Yeast-1pinch
Cinnamon-2x1inch sticks
Cloves-5

For colour;
Sugar-1/2cup
Water-1/2cup

First rinse all the vessels used with hot water.Clean the grapes;wash it and dry it.Mash it with your hands.Take a porcelain jar(must be 3lit or more) and add the grapes,sugar,wheat,yeast,cinnamon and cloves to this.Pour the cooled water and stir well.Close it airtight and leave it in a dark cool place for 21 days.Remember to stir it every 3 to 4 days.
On the 21st day strain the wine.Caramalise half cup sugar in a pan.Add water to this to make a syrup.Add this to the wine and mix well.(I skipped this step,so you can see my wine colour is pale).Strain this wine with a muslin cloth 2 to 3 times over the next few days allowing the sediments to settle at the bottom.

Remember;
Always use boiled and cooled water.
Using clean vessels is a must to avoid bacteria which can make the wine bitter.
21 days is minimum.It tastes better the longer you store it.
