Ingredients
Self raising flour-1cup
Cocoa powder-1/2cup
Sugar-1/2cup,powdered
Eggs-2
Butter-1/2cup,at room temperature
Vanilla essence-1tsp
Cherry liquer-50mls
Preserved cherries-cut into halves
Chocolate frosting-1jar,I used Betty Crocker's
Beat the eggs,sugar and butter.Slowly add the flour and the cocoa powder.Finally add in the vanilla essence.Mix well and bake it for 30 mins at 180 deg cel.
Allow the cake to cool and cut it into 2 discs.Soak each with the cherry liquer.Spread the frosting on the bottom layer.Sprinkle the cherries and then place the top layer and apply the frosting all over the cake.Place the cherries on the top and the sides.
