Beef Achaar (Beef Pickle)

Beef achaar is a rarely tried but tasty pickle .Its really tasty with rice, pitta bread or chappati.


Beef-1kg,boneless cut into cubes
Marinate beef with chilli powder(1tbsp)+pepper powder(1tbsp)+turmeric(1tsp)+salt.
Leave for marination for 1 to 2 hours.

Ginger-1 inch,finely chopped
Garlic-1pod,finely chopped
curry leaves-2 sprig
mustard seeds-2 tsp
Chilli powder-1tbsp
Meat masala-1 1/2 tbsp
Oil for deep frying
Vinegar-1/2 cup

Heat the oil and deep fry the marinated beef until cooked and dark in colour.Now in a pan heat half cup of oil( use the same oil that u used for deep frying).Splutter mustard seeds.Add ginger,garlic and curry leaves.Saute it.Now add the chilli and meat masala powder and switch off the flame.Add the beef pieces into this and mix well.Pour in the vinegar and salt as per taste.Mix it well.Leave it for few hours for the flavours to mix well.

Store in an air tight jar.Can stay upto 2 weeks.if refrigerated stays longer.Always taste better the next day!!!!!
