Chole ( Chickpea Curry)

Chole is made from white chickpeas readily available in the stores.

Chickpeas-1cup,soaked for 4 to 5 hours with 1tsp salt or canned peas
Onion-1 medium,finely chopped
ginger and garlic minced-1tbsp
tomato-1 medium
green chillies-2
cumin seeds- 1tsp
mustard seeds-1tsp
chilli powder-2tsp
lime juice-1tbsp
chicken masala or garam masala powder-1tbsp
salt-as per taste
coriander leaves-2sprigs
curry leaves-1sprig

Add oil in a heated pan.Splutter mustards then add cumin seeds.Add the onion,curry leaves,ginger,  garlic and green chillies.Saute it.Mince tomato with coriander.Add this to the onion mix.Cook it for few minutes.Add the masala powders.Roast it till the raw smell is gone.Add the chickpeas,lime juice and salt.Pressure cook this for 2 whistles.Let the cooker cool down.now slightly mash the chickpeas.Sprinkle coriander leaves.

Serve with Bathura,rice, naan or bread!!!!!!!!!!
