Apple-1,medium,peeled cored and finely chopped
Pear-1,medium,peeled,cored and finely chopped
Powdered cloves or cardamom-1/4tsp
Add the fruits into a sauce pan with the water and allow it to cook for 15 mins.Now cool it and puree it in a blender.Pour this back into the sauce pan with the sugar.Cook it on a medium flame for 15 to 20 mins stirring continously until the jam thickens.Lastly add the lime juice and powdered cloves.
Allow it to cool and store in a glass jar.
*To check if the jam is thickened well.Pour a spoonful of jam on to a cold plate.Draw a line on the jam with the spoon if the division stays then its ready.
*Adding strawberry gives a red colour.
*You may choose to add any types of berries,plums,chikoos,dates etc.
*Can store for months if kept in fridge
