Beef Ullarthiyathu



Ingredients;
Beef on the bone-1/2kg


For the marination;
Chilli powder-11/2tsp
Coriander powder-2tsp
Pepper powder-1tsp
Turmeric-1/2tsp
Salt-1tsp
Ginger Garlic-2tbsp,minced
Green chillies-3,slit lengthwise
Curry leaves-2sprigs


For tempering;
Coconut/Refined oil-2tbsp
Mustard seeds-1tsp
Shallots-10 to 15,sliced lengthwise
Garlic-2 cloves with the skin on,crushed
Red chillies-3,cut into 1inch pieces
Coconut chips-3tbsp
Curry leaves-1sprig.


Add the ingredients for marination and coat the beef well.Let it sit for 30 mins.Pressure cook it for 4 whistles(Add 2 to 3 tbsp of water if required to prevent burning).Switch off the flame and leave it to rest.Open the cooker ,if there is some water,switch on the flame and cook it till the water evaporates.Stir it in between to prevent sticking on to the bottom.Heat the oil in a pan.Splutter the mustard seeds and then add the ingredients for tempering.Stir fry it until the shallots and coconut chips are golden coloured.Add the cooked beef and allow the tempering to coat it.


Serve with appams,rice,chappatis or bread!!!!!!!!!
