Fish cooked in coconut gravy

Its been a long time since I added a fish recipe to my blog.So here I am with a delicious fish curry.

Fish-500 gms,I used seabass
coconut-1 cup,grated
onion-1 small,chopped
ginger&garlic-2tbsp, chopped
tomato-1 med, chopped
green chillies-2 slit lengthwise
red chilli powder-1tbsp
coriander powder-1tbsp
curry leaves-1sprig
tamarind(gambojee)-2 pieces
mustard seeds-1tsp
oil-1 to 2 tbsp
water-11/2 cup

Grind the coconut ,shallots,red chilli powder and coriander powder to form a paste.

Heat oil in a pan.Splutter the mustard seeds.Add the ginger,garlic,onion,green chillies and curry leaves.Saute it till onions are half cooked.Now add the tomatoes.Cook it for few seconds and then add the fish pieces.Coat the fish with the masala.

Now add the coconut gravy

Add water,stir carefully and close the lid allowing the fish to cook for 15 to 20 mins.
When done add 2 tsp of coconut oil.Give a stir.
Serve with rice ,chappati or naan!!!!!!!!!
