Palak Paneer(Spinach and haloumi)


Ingredients;
Spinach leaves-washed and cleaned-1 bunch
paneer or haloumi-1cup,cubed
onion-1 medium minced
tomato-1 medium minced
ginger garlic paste-1tbsp
green chilli-1 minced
garam masala powder-1tbsp
turmeric powder-1tsp
cumin powder-2tsp
oil-2tsp
salt as per taste.
Cream-2tbsp-optional

Fry the paneer till golden brown.Blanch the spinach leaves and mash it or puree it as u desire.
In a pan heat oil add the ginger garlic paste.Stir it for a minute,now add the onions and green chilli.When the onions are half cooked add the powdered spices turmeric and salt.Stir it till the raw smell is gone.Now add the tomatoes.Cook it till oil separates.Pour in the pureed or minced spinach.Heat it and then add the paneer pieces.Cook till the gravy is thick.If desired u may add the cream.Sprinkle a pinch of garam masala powder on top.
Serve with rotis, naan or rice and raita!!!!!!!!!!!!
