Simply chicken

Its been longtime since I have uploaded a chicken recipe.So here we go with a very simple but yummy chicken dish.And yes its veeeeeeerrrrrrryyyyy spicy so adjust ur ingredients as per ur tolerance.you may even substitute chilli for paprika.







Ingredients;
Chicken-cleaned and cut into medium size-750 gms
onions-4 medium.thinly sliced lengthwise
ginger-1 inch minced
garlic-4 to 5 pods minced
green chilli 2 slit
curry leaves-2 sprig
chilli powder-1tbsp
coriander powder-2tbsp
garam masala-1tbsp
pepper powder-1tsp
turmeric-1tsp
mustard seeds-1tsp
lemon juice -1tbsp
salt as per taste
water 50 mls
oil -2tbsp

Heat oil in the pan and splutter the mustard seeds.Add in the ginger and garlic.Saute it for a minute.Add the onions,curry leaves and green chilli.Saute it till the onions are cooked.You may add some salt to sweat the onions.Then put the chilli, coriander,turmeric and garam masala powder.Roast it for a minute.Add in the chicken pieces and lime juice.Coat the chicken with the masala.Now add water and cover the pan.Let it dum for 15 minutes on a medium flame.Now take off the lid let the water evaporate.The gravy must be thick and should coat the chicken.Sprinkle pepper powder mix and switch off the flame.garnish with onions and curry leaves.

Serve with rotis, naan,bread or rice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Fantastic" is the word that my husband and son said after eating this. Though my son would have been more than an echo of my husband on the comment, he ate really well :). I made it a little gravy-ish b'cos total dry wouldn't sell here. Thankyou so much Biny dear. This is definetely a keeper!
