Quick Spicy Prawns Rice

This is one of my quick fixes.I love this especially when u need something quick.I have made it with prawns but u can sustitute it with paneer, chicken or egg.

Ingredients:
Rice-250 gms
Prawns-100 gms,cleaned and washed
Tomato-2
Onion-half medium size
Ginger-1/2inch
Garlic-3 cloves
Chilli powder-2tsp
Garam masala-1tsp
Cardamom seeds-2 crushed
Coriander leaves-2 sprigs,finely chopped.
Milk-1/2 cup(optional)
Water enough to cook rice
water-1/2cup
Salt as per taste.

Boil the water, add a tsp of salt. Now add the washed rice and cardamom and cook till 50%done.Grind together the tomatoes, onion, water, ginger, garlic, salt and powdered spices.Add this paste to a pan.Add the prawns and cook it.Now take an oven friendly vessel.layer the rice and the curry, intermittenly sprinkling some coriander leaves.Close with a lid and cook in a preheated oven at 180 deg cel for 30 mins.If u find the gravy thick, make deep holes on the top rice layer and pour the milk through it.
Serve with curd,raita or poppadums!!!!!!!!!!
