Shrimp samosa

Samosas are pastries with fillings of vegetables, paneer, prawns, meat or chicken. We can make the dough with plain flour or buy pastry sheets readily available in the shops.



Ingredients:
For the pastry-plain flour -2 cups
Salt-1 tsp
Cumin seeds-1tsp
oil-1tbsp

For the filling-
Shrimp peeled cooked and minced-150 gms
Paneer-50 gm(optional)
onion-1 small minced
ginger garlic minced-1tsp
greenchilli minced-2 small
chilli powder-1tsp
cilantro-1 sprig
1 tbsp lime juice
Egg white
Salt to taste.
Oil for deep frying.
Mix the ingredients to make the dough.Add water and knead a soft dough.Make small balls. Roll each balls and cut into 2 halves.
For the filling-add oil in a pan.add the onion, ginger garlic and green chilli.Saute it well.then add the chilli powder.Roast it.Now add the minced prawns and paneer.Stir it well.Make it dry.Add the chopped cilantro at the last.
Make a cone out of each half of the pastry.Stuff it with the filling.Seal the edhes with water or egg white( egg white is a good seal when deep frying).Deep fry it till the pastry is crispy and brown.
Serve it with ketchup or mint chutney.!!!!!!

Great recipe. You shouldn't even suggest serving with Ketchup. If you can't eat them with out ketchup you should just be eating a boring hot dog!
