Murg Makhani or butter chicken is a famous recipe relished by most of the people who love indian food.Its an easy recipe and it tastes just gr8.
Chicken-1/2kg-preferrably boneless-diced into cubes or strips
ginger garlic paste-2tsp
green chilli-1 to 2
butter 1-2 tbsp
coriander leaves to garnish
salt as per taste
Marinate the boneless thicken with ginger garlic paste, chilli powder-1tsp,coriander powder-1tsp,salt.Keep it aside for 30-60mins.Heat oil in a pan.Cook the chicken pieces in it till brown.Keep it aside.Into the same pan add cumin seeds,mace and cardamom pods.stir it.then add the tomatoes.Add the chilli powder,garam masala powder,sugar,salt,green chilli and water.Close the lid and cook till tomatoes well done.Blend this mixture in a blender to get a smooth gravy.Into the pan add butter.pour in the gravy.When gravy is hot enough,add the chicken pieces then the kasuri methi-powder the leaves bu rubbing it in between the palms.Let the flavours marry.You may add red colour to get the typical red colour of makhani,however Ii haven't added any artifical colour.Finish with cream.stirwell.Garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot with naan, chappati,rice or bread.!!!!!!!!
