Lakshwadeep Fish Curry



Ingredients;
Fish-500 gms,cleaned and cut
Shalllots-20
Garlic-3pods
Green chillies-3
Red chilli powder-2tsp
Fenugreek seeds-1tsp,roasted and powdered
Dry gooseberries-3 to 4
Turmeric-1/2tsp
Curry leaves-2 sprigs
Coconut oil-2tbsp
Vinegar-2tbsp
Mustard seeds-1/2tsp
Water-1/2 cup
Salt as per taste
Grind together half the amount of shallots,green chillies,red chilli powder,fenugreek powder,turmeric and gooseberries.Heat the oil in a pan,splutter mustards.Add the remaining half of shallots chopped and curry leaves.Saute it for a minute then add the chilli paste.Saute it until the raw is gone.Add the vinegar,water and salt.When the mix begins to boil add the fish pieces to this.Let it cook for 5 mins on high flame.Switch the flame to medium and leave the gravy to thicken.
Serve hot with rice!!!!!!!
